Because they are so spread out and one break is ~2 minutes long, you can't go do something else while they play, and if that was not enough, you can't play the ads in the background and do something else, because they are forcefully paused when you switch tabs.
Yeah, my reaction was pretty similar the first time I saw "Advertisement 1 of 7". I don't know how the hell this happened, but I haven't seen any site that came close to this amount of ads.
To be fair... I saw news that premium tier of disney+ subscription that specifically says, NO ADS, still has ads in it. I assume those sites do it because they are highly unprofitable. They are highly unprofitable because they are shite. You know the drill.
If I remember right, last I checked. Sony was headed in the direction for a monopoly in the anime industry with trying to purchase I think Kadokawa?
Anyway, I think it is just gonna get worse from there. You know you used to be able to own stuff on Crunchyroll before they axed that and switched to a subscription based model?
Also, in the direction for that. Last I heard, they were gonna own the souls series on top of that. I don’t care about that series, but their track record? I expect that to be run into the ground as well.
Also, Corty mentioned it somewhere, don't remember where it was. There is a torrent site for pirating anime. And he mentioned and showed how pirated works have better quality yet they take less space on your hard drive.
Yeah, but this is just like an addition. Since in order to prevent Kadokawa from being bought out by a foreign power, they were in the process of negotiating with Sony.
It just turns out due to the branch, the souls series is likely to get wrapped up in it.
Then people wonder why anime is being pirated.
