It rained all day today for me. There are minor lakes and small rivers forming everywhere outside. Sort flooding too. A few people's cars wouldn't start or they stuttered. I actually had to help someone get a push and get it going.

Makes me think of that part in The Day After Tomorrow where it was constantly raining, before a huge tsunami engulfed Manhattan.

Ew dont say that. Because If Manhattan goes under, then that means I've already been washed away. Brooklyn is closer to the ocean than Manhattan.

Flooding is rough. Everyone should snorkel their car.

Not a fan of New Yorkers? Its fine. I'm not either. I lived in North Carolina for two years and would much prefer to go back than stay here.

I’m from the Catskills, then Albany. I’m just thinking, that if you’re in the city, wrong think would cause quite a bit of social distancing for you. Aren’t you getting snow right now though? They’re calling for 20+” in my hometown

It irritates me how people romanticize NYC. I think they are fucking crazy. They romanticize it because they come for a weekend holiday or some shit and love it. Yeah...try living here. Place sucks. I grew up in NYC, and then moved to Durham, North Carolina for two years for work. Would have preferred to remain in North Carolina but the place I worked at went bust.

I think I've said this before - maybe in a PM - but I've never really been enamoured by NYC.
Then again, I've never had the urge to visit any famous cities since they're so...busy.

Though Swansea in Wales, and York in England are okay.

Lol social distancing. A lot of stores are closed yeah...but quarantine? It's a joke. People still walking and riding all over. No idea where they are going or doing, but yeah. I mean it's a little quieter in the day but the night life here is just as rowdy as it always was. No clubs open but hell, people hang out in the streets more now. Only difference.

And nah no snow, we were getting sleet and hail though. It might be snowing? I haven't been outside but once in the past 3 days since I'm not working at the moment, and thats only because I was helping someone out in an apartment on my floor with their car today. Its supposed to start snowing tomorrow or something but I don't remember how much.

@Nahrenne I've mentioned it before but I want to move to Wales. Preferably Carmarthen or Cardiff. If I had to go to UK, probably in Devon or Cornwall.

Wale is in the UK.
Devon and Cornwall are in England.
Also, Swansea feels nicer than Cardiff cos there's the Mumbles, the Singleton Park, as well as a beach that stretches really far.

I have family in the Munster Province of Ireland...and I recently learned I might have some distant relatives in Kent but I know nothing about them.

I went to the city with friends quite a bit when I was in HS. Took a bus down, but after a while it’s not as fun as you think it will be. I went to Times Square for New Years once though, and although that sucked, the train ride home was glorious
