The absurdity of reality and the constants of human life is proof enough that our universe is not a simulation made by a similar being trying to create a similar world. At least in my opinion. If it was a simulation made by some other yet unknown entities, perhaps.

Don’t know why, probably some science explanation, but your pain does feel a bit lessened if you groan when it increases.
Before a surgery when they are doing the preparations and you are not yet asleep, you may be scared. However it is better to think that every instrument attached to you is a trump card that can save your life.
