    I feel like I will be spurting testicles pieces when I pee from how much torturous the chinese plot is.

    Not only is it realistic in how buttfucked selfish humanity can be, but it can be as ridiculous in a Deus Ex Machina moment.

    I get that it is supposed to be how it goes, but the execution really reminds me of 2010 chinese web novels.

    Deleted another bookmark that stopped bringing me joy.

    All I feel from the supposed Baki style fighting is a sense of dryness. A bland taste in which MC becomes tougher than raw steak as men beat his meat.

    Yes the work also feels gay, but not in a good way but in a sahara dry rub way; abrasive.

    But here I must state to not pander to the readers too much as well.

    Because let's face it, a wish fulfilling work might not be a good one.

    The key I guess is indulgence of self and audience. Find the balance to placate to yourself, so as to not turn writing into a painful chore, and to the audience, so as to not lose most of them.

    Might be my poor memory, but I do enjoy the current trend of the skill upgrading system as it combined the conventional of "press + to level up skill" with a little bit of "visiting a parallel future" gimmick.

    The latter gimmick being deemed too OP that no new works are about it.

    So the current trend is "MC use time units to level up skill and can experience the time spent, unlike some system which at best threw in muscle memory for instinctive movement or at worse having the MC to re-adjust to his newly upgraded skills, MC with the new system already knows, because it is like "locked in a room which MC practises ceaselessly".

    Another gimmick in both works (the first work I dropped because MC was too passive) is upgrade failure/ death detection.

    As quote by the first work, "(I was) trapped in a room where I can't die normally and worked till time end, you can give a normie an eternity and still he can't make a nuclear bomb with nothing to work with".

    This forces MCs to learn outside skills to complement his current skills and to use the upgrade system better.

    The first MC also used the system to test if his current body has been poisoned, though it was only shown once and handwaved to background.
