No comments ? Same for artists. Now in 2024 there are far less comments. Check a image on danbooru 15+ years ago VS now.
Now unless its a buzz / controversial one or a very good one or a popular artist, there are rarely 2+ comments on same one.

Someone need a pin a thread or something so we can copypaste the reply to all new writers that ask "how to get more popularity/comments"

I saw MEGA HIGH QUALITY (original, no IP) art but they got score:25 on danbooru
but when they stopped doing it, and did Hololive Suisei or "seasonal anime waifu" = SCORE:200+

Safe ? Barely 8+ score
Smut by same artist ? 100+ score

The reality is that people don't want to know the answer, the bitter truth; they just want to complain. I think it's a very human way of acting. The secret is really simple, as you said, but it's hard for most people to accept that to be successful, you have to work hard, to put real effort. It's much easier to complain and find excuses.

The problem of why i never gave this reasoning despite knowing it for months.
Is the fear that some "weak-minded" authors of SH, would simply "give up" writing. Bc unlike "drawing", writing English WN doesnt have lot of prospect meanwhile, FANTIA/Patreon artists are getting $ (or cheat code: twitter furry) hence depressing or greedy.

The weight of this explanation, is like killing unborn lives.

But the problem then
is : Why the heck, they don't get common sense to READ MORE ?????

Chinese authors, SINCE LIKE 15+ YEARS AGO THEY READ NOVELS EVERYDAY
Meanwhile, when i see authors asking "how to--" and seeing THEIR quality as if they barely read 3-5 novels.
Reminds me of NOW GAMEDEVS : HAVE THEY PLAYED GOOD GAMES BEFORE ?

That's the nature of a forum, though. You'd be surprised at how little people bother to check for overlapping threads before they post anything. In some ways, it is better as it avoids necroing old threads and allows for fresh insight from new members. Can't say the same for old active members, unfortunately.
