Okay, I have to admit.
This great witch is not good with navigating the sea. I guess it made sense that a voyage- pardon me, a vagabond witch like @BernKatstel would be a teeeensy tiiiny bit better than me. Just a tiny little bit.

The turkey, on the other hand, was pro-Ershi people. They felt that as an intelligent creature, they should cooperate with the Ershi people instead of fighting them.

  It had no hatred for the Ershi people. It promised that it would not have any... unreasonable thoughts about the Ershi people like the geese.

  At most, it would want to set up a festival specifically for eating the Ershi people.

I am probably gonna be thrown tomatoes at, but I envy some of my collegues who go to the office and do 9 to 5. Yes, they spend a lot of time just loitering and just moving there and back is a pain but nobody distracts them all the time like remote work means no work. And the office has air-conditioning

All those "boohoo the gods hurt my family so I will fucking slay them" narratives are inane and make me eyeroll when I read the description.
It's the contrast between the small scale of the problem (mc +/- a few other persons) vs the scale of the story (literally kill the gods) that makes me annoyed.
