All those "boohoo the gods hurt my family so I will fucking slay them" narratives are inane and make me eyeroll when I read the description.
It's the contrast between the small scale of the problem (mc +/- a few other persons) vs the scale of the story (literally kill the gods) that makes me annoyed.
