It is a problem to not vary the sentence structure. Short sentences can be used for impact statements. The same is true for paragraphs. Imagine a long couple of sentences in one paragraph, and then the next paragraph is simply a one sentence statement like "I died." Those two words will pop out, and be far more impactful than anything that came before.
