Why not have him drink one of Shiori's potions with unknown side effects and have: some of his passives get blocked; or no longer be mute; or end up having the soul separated and entering a different body that results in different skills and passives?

If you're sticking to one character at a time we could just tie up your character in a basement and wait for him to starve so you could make a new character.
