It's unsustainable bro.
I hear the bubble is going to pop soon.
Financial backers have begun pulling out in droves.

Everything has it's eb and flow. It's over invested, which is not the same as unsustainable.
I used free software to write me the first few chapters of a conventinal Billionare Romance novel.

It created chapters that would have taken me ten hours to write in ten minutes.
The time I spent editing them would be about an hour.
I hade a really nice 2 chapter opening for and hour and ten minutes of labor.

That's a 9/10 reduction of my time and it wrote comparable or better to what I produce all naturally.
And that's the fucking free stuff. I can't compete with that. I'm cooked. :sweating_profusely:

No repetitions, no grammar mistakes, no mispellings, few awkward word choices.

We need to call it something even meaner than slop and dehumanize the people who enjoy it and maybe put them in ca–

Right, i get that, but the cost of data centers and energy consumption is crushing the ROI for CAC.
The current models are running on financial backers investments and private income sources.
They are in the red right now with costs still skyrocketing.
The tech is working but its impossible to keep the pace. That's why the investors are pulling out. The CAC is 3:1 on average, which is terrible.

They already have the term human slop. That's what I am right now. Human slop that competes in the entertainment or culture market place.

Well, on that logic, I should be exploiting the tech to further my output, because unlike the abusers, I could actually return to pen and paper and still craft a story.

Or that logic will slow the collapse down and then it takes longer to pop the bubble.
I know for a fact i pulled my investments out around december.
53% of investers are seeing a 1%-3% ROI.
It's a failing system and at some point they will most likely push crappier systems marketed as newer to slow the fall.
Or the government will step in like the airlines in the 2000's (Doubtful with the CAC numbers)

Well, we all know the small players don't get access to the good stuff.

That's true but the processing power doesn't care.
What they think is the "Good" stuff is actually barely better than what you see on the market.
I did code work for ChatGPT algorithms. They are marketing masters not computer geniuses.
They wouldn't need human code workers to fix the stupidity of AI.
Now when it collapses there will be heavy market fallout due to over investment.

I want to be optimistic. Meanwhile, every chapter I post is food for AI LLMs to outcompete me while I suffer obscurity.
And influencers screaming "ADAPT OR DIE!"
Madkins

I'll be frank here.
Fuck influencers, they all are liars.
Adapt or die is subjective.
Cows adapted to humanity and they die every day...
Just saying bro.
Look you do what you want to do but the fact is money talks, and this AI bullshit will be walking soon.
I support you buddy either way
