I am trying to create my own art style, and I have always found controlled chaotic lines inside the art pretty. I want to know how to do that, I would appreciate it if someone could help. I am going to attach a few images as references.

It reminds me of traditional ink drawings, you might be able to use some of that kind of thing for reference.

I tried to draw more and ended up with this. What do you think?

If you're trying to replicate the style of the references you gave earlier, it looks like they have a pretty plain base color airbrushed on, then draw over it with a pure black hard round brush and other details with that brush. It doesn't look like there's much, if any smudge used there.

Not completely replicate, but I get what you said.

This could be my own interpretation but maybe you can achieve a similar effect by painting your canvas on with hard brush and erasing the edges with soft brush like smokey effect. Keep some parts sharp while some areas fade for emphasis of the shape. You can also play around with pen pressure to make the brush flow fade on the tip.

I used a wet brush with rough edges. Is it a soft or hard brush? Ig the ones that blend are soft brushed right?

First of all, your line directions are too straight and parallel to each other/canvas edges. Composition wise it’s boring.

Second, the refs still have a general flow all lines follow; like twigs spreading out from a tree. Your painting doesn’t.

Third, the use of wet brush makes your colors muddy and lines unclear. Your goal examples have a sketch like lineart with hard sharp edges. The color underneath aren’t blended much, maybe blurred or applied with an airbrush.

The intentional chaotic takes practice, there is no real hack or guide to do it.

I think its considered a rough brush, seeing that you're using krita. Soft brushes tend to blend or have softer edges.

Imo, the wet bristle rough has a texture that may not resemble much of smokey effect and may look like sand/dust floaties in the air with this technique, but you can give it a try and see if it suits your stylistic choice.

Okay, I'll keep your advice in mind. Regarding Refs, they are not really refs, I added those black lines as shadows.
