I’m a Procreate user, so I’m biased. Plus, I would know more about it, in case you have any questions. But ibis is great too, from what I’ve seen, and plus it’s free.

I see... personally, have you ever tried ibispaint? What do you think is the most obvious difference between the two? I've heard that procreate feels smoother when drawing(?). And yeahh it's free but looking at the price I reckon that if it's pretty good I'll probably be more happy than if I spend that amount of money on buying other stuff in the long run.

Krita is King.
I just looked krita on google and it looks like clip studio paint? Also, why?

I use ibis.
Aye, me too (for now)

I’ve only used it a few times… on my phone. Back when I didn’t have an iPad, and just drew with my finger. So I’m not a good person to ask. But I definitely give Procreate my approval! Tons of functions and great quality, if you’re willing to spend that one-time price to buy the app (more if you want to buy brushes online, but there are plenty of great free packs as well).

Try them out and see what works the best for you.
CSP is the closest to ibis ig, but more functions.

Krita is different handling but nice standard brushes, also very intuitive with animations.

PS more and more complicated. But the options for photo manipulation are endless

Procreate I don’t like cause iPad and ipen. Dislike the slippery surface and the sound of pen hammering in the surface. Biased to Wacom pen.

Paint tool sai also good program, only worked with the light version 1. very similar to CSP.

I like Clippaint studio. It goes on sale once in a while. I remember picking it up for $15 bucks. I did eventually upgrade it for the animation feature.
For free stuff, Krita is great. It has an easy to use animation feature. Same for Fire Alpaca. For vector graphics, I recommend Inkscape.

putting a vote for Krita, it's pretty good, you can customize your own paint tool or edit images in there and there's also a dedicated animation section. Only con is probably not user friendly as in it's complicated to use. (psst~ also you can change the background)

Ah yeah, I draw on paper, scan, and color in Photoshop CSBootleg.

I can't draw straight in app; my hands are shaky.
