Genre doesn't matter. If I can end up liking most of the cast by the end, I'm in.
If you insist ^^ I'd like to recommend my story, Monster Girls Book 1: A Tale of Tails.

A fantasy based around Medieval Times full of Magic and Monsters, the story centers around a young farmer with a past he'd like to forget as he rescues a cat girl who's lost memory of her past. They quickly learn that the more they uncover of her past, the more trouble it brings. But to save their future, they need to confront the past and face the forces that are after them.

It's got smut, romance, action (especially in Act 2), and I take special care to make sure all of the cast plays a role.

In my reading list already. I'll check it out once holiday comes.

Thank you

I'm talking about stories like:
1. Dr. Stone
2. Full Metal Alchemist
3. Assassination Classroom

In my examples above, we got the brain-OP Senku, alchemy prodigy Edward Elric, and an ex-assassin turned into whatever Korosensei was (actually the MC is Nagisa, but you get the point). But fans of those media can often mention most of other characters as well. By the end of the show, you get attached to almost the whole casts, sometimes even the villains too.

The casts don't have to be huge in numbers. Smaller is great (and even better sometimes). Like:
1. Kamen Rider Build or Gavv are great examples of this.
2. Seven Samurai or Magnificent Seven
3. Final Fantasy VI, VII, or IX

Genre doesn't matter. If I can end up liking most of the cast by the end, I'm in.

Thank you in advance.

...why you skip FF VIII

Don't know if you're still looking, but you might be interested in mine, Diaries of Kōji & Suzuka. It's a slow-burn romcom, and it's only 4 chapters in, so maybe you're not looking for that? Still, all of the friends will have their moments and development, that's for sure.

I currently can't add links to my signature, maybe because I don't have any posts yet. I hope that's not a problem :blob_sweat:

My story Emotica is an ensemble of 5. All five of them are equally important, and I try to keep the amount of here-and-gone characters to an absolute minimum. It's such a waste when a character doesn't matter. If you like fantasy-adventure then maybe you'd like Emotica.

I would also recommend my Black Fang story. The cast is not exactly small and most of them do get some real spotlight. And they are really a colorful bunch.
So if you like a "girls with guns" dark urban action story, Black Fang may be something for you
