I got an observation. Hear me out.

Had an idea for a story and was told it was gratuitous. Found out that word is not objective, it's subjective depending on the person's preference, which is the issue.

But then I learned a lesson that seems to be the most important one: it depends on the market. A "gratuitous" story can become quite popular. Examples: Lolita, everything Stephen King writes, Game of Thrones.

So I learned the most important lesson, and it's important to me: money talks, bullshit walks.

"Why are you saying this, dragonpig?"

I don't know, I just had an epiphany.

When it comes to unsolicited thoughts on something you want to write about, I like to think back on the immortal words of The Dude, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing:

What does a dragonpig have? hooves or claws?
technically, a dragonpig would claws at the front, hooves in the back, and a dragon tail curled up like a pig would, also dragonpigs are said to be very "well endowed" if you catch my drift.
