You run the risk when you write erotic scenes or books in general, that someone will write to you and express their satisfaction with your work a little too graphically.

I just haven't felt much like writing lately, at least here. I'm procrastinating a little bit on the commissions I still owe, and I had to write two grant proposals this week so...yeah, a little burnt out.

Paid commissions unfortunately take priority, and with the wind damage our house suffered a few days ago, I'm going to have to create commissions slots for a total of about $1000 so we can get some siding replaced. So, I'll be writing commissions for a few weeks still. But ...now that I write this, I think I'm done putting things off, and will try some writing tomorrow.

Hmm...

The fact that @MFontana started to go through one of my FF and broke down my chapters for me was probably my most welcome compliment.

Then there are the reviews that have been left from some of my readers like this one;

Darkcrests other works entertained me, I enjoyed them, but this one grabbed me and dragged me under in the best possible way.

While it may be a little frustrating at times with the old man fighting his body in order to progress, it makes the pay off's much sweeter, and frankly the struggle is part of the whole damned point!

Overall, 5 stars from me. The story, the execution, the sheer prolific output of the author... all top tier.

Finally, I am one of the lucky ones who have a lot of active commenters, even 167 chapters into the work. It's almost always positive, or some fun theories, or even we start shooting the shit in the comments about our past life experiences and how they relate to John, my MC.

Not a grand a commission. A grand in total.

My current commissions are $250, $300, and $150 respectively. So i have to finish those first, then I need to open commissions again to raise the $1,000. I think I can do it; I just need to get off my tail and finish the ones I have to do - then they will gladly order more work from me. I'm 5 cents/word, so I only have to write a 5,000-word story for $250. Sorry for the confusion.

The only wealthy furries are the artists. Some get commissions worth $7,500 or more each.

Sometimes, I worry I chose the wrong medium for my talent.

Hmm, if you really love furry writing, hop onto furry sites like I'm on, do a few stories for free (like I once did), and see how well you're received. It honestly took me about 2-3 years before I was "known" in the furry world. Quite a lot of other furries knew me from MMOPRGs and other places, where I'd do erotic roleplay. I DON'T do that anymore, of course. That was years ago. But people knew my writing talent in roleplay and definitely wanted to hire me for their own story pleasures after that.

It really depends on your work and the people you work with. $100 for 4,000 words is exceptional.
