What's the use of Latest Chapter Discussion for you?

Like the title.

For myself, I really don't see much use, since if you want to discuss your latest chapter as an author you could definitely put it in your authors notes, and as a reader it's basically the same, the chances of other readers of the same story reading you if you post here is really slim so...

whats the use of this for you guys?

Best guess is the boom of AI giving those folks who want to direct more than write stories. Also the gradual decline of the number of active moderators. Plus Tony can only do so much alone. It was very active in the beginning and up to 2020, we even had contests with prizes, but after that... I'd have to ask others if anything significant happened.

Makes sense... That sounds really depressing to watch happen and live through. Sorry to hear.

But I think it's really cool people have stuck with it despite that. Perhaps a renaissance may be in the wings some day 🤞

Well, initially I believed this was a subforum where we can get feedback on a chapter of our choice. Which I thought would help since I'm having trouble getting feedback on my current novel.

But erm, I wasn't getting any feedback here either ^^7 so I figured maybe my story is too niche or something.

Idk. Write smut they say, it'll blow up they say.
*grumbles*
It's good on views but the favorites and comments and readers are lacking for my preference. I'll figure it out in time, hopefully.

That seems to be the pattern across publishing sites in general. If you look at stories written before 2021/22, there's a lot more engagement. Now, you're lucky to get a comment or two after dozens of chapters.
