Can someone explain why the button or link to patreon only appears on the original novel?

Previously this did not happen, but now all buttons or links to patreon only appear in the original novel, even the word patreon in the novel chapters has been removed?

Can someone explain what is going on?

new changes made it so fan fics can no longer have links like that. I believe the change was made like yesterday.

Why is that? After all, many fanfic writers make a living from Scribblehub.
Well...

A conspiracy I have is that Scribblehub will shut down soon.

Sticking to the facts tho, it seems like the site is getting popular enough that we have to be scared of copyright law. Earning money through other characters lays on an iffy line that the admin doesn't wanna deal with.

Here is the thread where it was announced

not any more, it seems like.
you can still make fanfics, but only because you enjoy it.
working for nothing, like the rest of us original authors.
welcome to our world.

will you still write, for free?
number on the screen, like the score on a video game.
that's all I get paid.

It is illegal for a fanfiction to be monetized (it has been this way since before the internet even existed). If you don't own the IP/franchise, you cannot legally take money to produce content for it, so the mods decided to enforce the law to reduce the chances of the site being taken down.

As a fanfic writer myself, I am confused at how you thought that was a good idea?

Take this time and start making new, original stories. Advertise them in your Fanfics and hope your reader base follows you there.
