Does your family know that you are a writer?

They do! But my parents don't read English that well, and my father isn't into reading novels (prefers non-fiction). So sometimes if I have a scene I'm proud of I'll translate it into Mandarin for my mother to read. :)

My sister does, and she's real blabber mouth so she would probably have told our parents. I couldn't care less whether they know about it or not cuz I live alone and my contact with them is mostly through calls and chats.
It wouldn't really matter much whether my parents knew or not and they will probably have no opinion on the matter besides "You should quit your job and become an author instead."

No and yes? Because it's quite complex, I have a lot of different professions I'm good at. Be it music composing, drawing, game dev or even video editing. They all started as a hobby and I told them I do this when I wasn't good at the. Majority of them. So now then I'm better they still think I'm the same as before? And frankly I ain't got the time to fix the miscommunication?

Yes they all know. When I posted my first chapter ever, I told them immediately. And they know that I write smut. I always hype about my new ideas to them. They haven't read much, which is good. They do know that I'm pretty kinky, but maybe it's better that they don't know exactly what runs in my head. But if they would decide to read it, I would be okay with that. I can handle it. ?

Yep, since I'm 7, for my parents (I'm 39) ^.^ But I never ask them to read. For no reasons.
The rest of my families, nope, though I never talk to them/they don't talk to me (I'm not interesting enough) to engage a discussion in which I could talk about it. ?‍
