What are some general tips on how to write good original fiction?

So I glanced through your newest one, (Bare in mind, I just skimmed) but I realized you write a lot. That's not a bad thing, writing a lot is amazing but writing too much is also an issue where sometimes there's fluff which are things that don't need to be written. In your case ,your overwriting...

What advantages do novels have over other mediums?

I think novels are much more descriptive and immersive. When comparing it to like comics, you could see that there are chunks missing from it. It's also true for anime as well. (For anime, I think primary because of budget and VA XD) But for novels, it's much easy to be more descriptive...

    chapter release scheduling question

Having a set schedule is better because it gives the readers an Idea of when they could expect a new chapter. The only thing to keep in mind with all of this would be how much you could write because you need to be consistent like what's said before. Either you find a proper word count you could...

    Consider The Following

Besides the rug, I don't understand the tiles. Like, if you're going to put tiles, do the whole thing. :blob_cookie:

    Burn out.

Try something new. Like change your keyboards or keycaps or something. Sometimes when you continue using the same things, it can dull you out. Doing something else for a bit or changing something up in how you write could help you get your groove.

    Errors in stories

For me, I find typos being pointed out nice because grammar isn't my strong suit.:blob_cookie:

Have you ever looked back at a chapter you wrote, look at its quality and think "what the fucking shit is this" "which abomination wrote this"

Always. Like I look at the things I wrote a few years ago and I'm so confused as to how I didn't see the error. :blob_sweat:

How have you changed since you began writing your story?

Hmm, got to go with outlining. When I first wrote, I kind of did things on the fly. But now, I write a large outline to organize my ideas :blob_cookie:

    Thoughts on "unwanted" feedback

If it's for grammar, I don't mind it being pointed out. Grammar isn't my strong suit XD. And I'm all for constructive feedback. The thing that I don't really care about is destructive feedback. Like it's more of them complaining rather than giving feedback. I just ignore or delete them...

    reader mad

One thing that's different between Chinese and English is that tones matter a lot. There are 4 tones. When you say a word, depending on the tone, it changes the meaning. So an example I would give is Ma, it could mean mother, horse, a question participle, or scold depending on the tone you use...

    Cover Change, Whaddya Think?

Both look nice. But I would choose the old one. The new one has a clean and cut feel to it. But the title is kind of a mismatch. You have a rainbow text and then you have the figure having a serious expression.
