Just google foley sound effects. They're mostly recorded separately and then added and synchronized to the scene in editing. It's to heighten the dynamism of the fight.
You're right, but to be honest the vrmmo aspect of it is just a gimmick added to a regular fantasy-ish setting. Authors of those rarely put real thought into it and just going with an existing trend.
No. There are works in which they are vastly different but it's not a big problem if they're not. In how many works elves are simply pretty humans with long ears? Besides it's only outsider perspective that makes you think they're similar. In those few times when authors focus on perspective of...
It's hard to get into. I admit. It's pretty daunting at the start, with a lot of poetry, exposition and world building. However of you pass through the first half of the first book, then you won't even notice when you finish the whole damn thing. I'd say after the fellowship forms. The hobbits...
Promotional material? You mean to make it look as if your fic is big enough to warrant having fanfics made? That's a unique approach but what would be the point? Your focus would be split between the main fic and this new one making the real one suffer as a result. Seems counterproductive.
I agree. In general I don't like any instance of a crazy escalation.
To me bringing deities into fiction for any purpose is usually a big minus. They're usually used as a lazy plot device, and even when they're more significant to the story they're seriously underwhelming. Especially in webnovels.

Try to restrict the dialog as well. Make him/her appear to think before they speak.
In my case, I don't often insert myself in the shoes of a character. I prefer reading POV totally different from my own to stimulate myself. The only time I insert myself into the main character is when I'm really frustrated with their choices and decisions. Sth like, I can't believe how stupid...
As good of an explanation as any.
Though there were few stories with that premise, or with the main character unknowingly experiencing a virtual simulation. And I can't remember even one of them where such a revelation at the end didn't turn cringy. Though admittedly cringy seems a par of a...
