Quote your favourite opening lines to a novel.

"Mine has been a life of much shame." - No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai I found that line very impactful the first time reading it.

What is the hardest character archetype to write?

Out of my characters, I'd say the flamboyant playboy guy, I always have fun writing him and I'm inspired by Barney Stinson to make him Legen... Wait for it... Dary! Legendary. And I know he might break the mold and I might not nail him exactly as I expect but he gives a unique flavor I feel. I...

Do you include images or nah?

I am following the Light Novel road, so yes I do add images. I have commissioned art for my main characters, and sometimes have used Ai to portray scenes or vibes as placeholders which have been able to achieve the looks I wish for.

Where do you get inspiration for your writing?

Anime, manga and Videogames (main Jrpgs) My favorite stories that I feel have been the best characters and writing that I've felt are what shaped my decisions of making a story. Notably Hunter x Hunter and Bleach do inspired me a lot for my main story. But it has soul and even references from...

Authors, Do you plan your stories?

Yes! I have a full outline of arcs and volumes I want to tackle all the way to the end, but I only have a rough description of what is going to happen as all the characters and scenes are fleshed out the moment they are introduced into the story when the writing catches up.

What's your ultimate 'dream' for your story?

Definitely dreaming for the Manga and Anime adaptation. I explicitly aim for the Light Novel feel and try to bring something familiar yet refreshing, so we'll see!

    Writing volumes for your novel.

I work in Light Volume terms so I say about 50k to 70k is a sweet spot for length however I end up shaping the things to condense arcs into the volumes within that and it's been working out for me, though when I get to longer arcs it might need more than one volume.

What kind of music do you usually listen to when you’re writing something?

Deep focus dark music. Or piano, orchestral, symphonic, orchestral versions of OSTs that I love from anime and games, Dark Souls, Undertale, Nier Automata, etc. Sometimes, I pump myself up with Anime Openings and imagine how the Anime opening of my series would be depending on the arc and...

What Genre Do You Enjoy Writing The Most?

Action, but specifically battles and power systems, I love so much to be constantly imagine Sakuga (high budget animation). Sadly a good fiction demands plot and stakes which need to be carefully set for the action payoff to be truly enjoyable. But it's all worth it!

As an author, which character would you want to possess if you transmigrated into your fiction?

My male main character Hollow! I designed him to be the coolest character I've ever seen. His deep link with the Abyss allow him to have extremely awesome abilities. He is so battle hardened and oriented, a complete genius when it comes to erasing enemies. The abilities I gave him were crafted...

To Those Who Write Fight Scenes...

    1. It having to end :'( I feel I could write forever if it was just fight after fight... 2. Choreography! I love Kung Fu movies, action, action/comedy, anime. The coolest part for me its how many different kind of punches or impacts are in the fight. If everything is just punch and kick, it...

Why is no one reading my novel??

I think your story is missing tags, specially Xianxia since I see Qi, immortality, and cultivation, I believe the tag could help you if your story does embrace the genre. And you got, 200+ views, 4 favorites in 5 chapters already which is a good start I'd say! But you might be missing out on...

Question for Writers with Ongoing Stories

1- I try for each chapter to deliver at least one full scene and if the scene is too long at least far enough until there is a good cutting point for a cliffhanger. Usually aiming for that 2k-2.5k sweets spot. 2- I let it play out, sometimes a scene that I think it'll be a chapter turn into...
