In keeping with my personal ethical standards and sense of moral integrity I cannot in good conscience use "AI." I do not foresee my position changing without drastic, sweeping changes which would require the current systems to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up. While these technologies may have been conceptually beneficial tools in a vacuum, in reality the inherent developmental flaws and half-baked public rollout has ensured that these tools are too volatile to be relied upon.
I find the legal, operational, and reputational risks far outweigh any perceived benefits. I find the hype surrounding these technologies to be overblown, the results to be underwhelming, and the ethical failings of the companies behind this technology repugnant.
