When I first started writing my web-novel, I was averaging 5000 words per chapter. After a massive revision, I found that with my story, prose, and pacing my sweet-spot is around 1500 - 2000 words. But, in saying that; you may find your own niche of readers that may actually prefer your 5000...

Don't worry, I plan alright. If anything, I might even over-plan which is probably what's making me overthink 😂

If you are demotivated by the interactions that you have on your book, then maybe I should just give up writing. (in case my sarcasm doesn't carry over through my comment) You are doing great. Just keep doing what you are doing and publish your chapters consistently and you'll be fine.

Hmm...this may sound like quite a silly question, (please understand this from an author's perspective, I don't want to be misunderstood) but do you think that a would somewhat count as an explicit scene? I don't remember exactly where I mentioned it, but that initial scene is important for one...

You make a fair point, I have always wondered about that too. Even when it comes to uploading it, image needs to be less than 2MB in file size. I have had to compress both my cover images whenever I upload it onto Scribble Hub. But idk, it's possible that it's just a limitation of the website.

omg, the eye situation almost happened to me too. It was actually soo close to it being published with one of my characters changing their eye-colour halfway through the story because I forgot lol Ah, the classic "task failed successfully" situation haha do you keep a notepad or a google drive...

Okay, it finally happened. I had to retcon something over the silliest reason (one of my characters fired a bow but like, where did she get the bow from? 🤔) Now I want to hear the silliest or oddest reason that you have had to retcon something in your novel.

It's amazing how a simple change of perspective on your own work can open up the way to different creative avenues. And it's quite cool that you came across your just because you decided to edit in reverse.
