The good way to smother inspiration is to pander to an audience. The author would constantly second guess everything that is written. Pandering is the publishing editors job.

It's difficult to make sure every word to be important to the story/character establishment. Snappy to me is short, important and mostly for show than tell of what's going on, happened or foreshadowing.

I'm good with premises but not of plot, conversation nor character - the important parts of a story.

I'm assuming it's opening the novel up to be contributed on by others, it reads like someone saying, "use my idea since I'm burned out." I could be wrong. It is also unfamiliar to me and I'm guessing by context.
