A club is a blunt weapon; a sword is a sharp weapon. Rather than a comparison like a "flower's kiss" which cannot easily be imagined...

    I look for well-developed characters with believable interactions in a story with decent pacing, where every moment holds a purpose and/or advances the plot. The prose also significantly impacts whether I will continue or not.
