    Writing Writing Advice Needed!!??

Write what you yourself would want to read. If you wouldn't give the story you are telling any time, you should not expect anyone else to do the same. Enjoy what you are writing, and you will find an audience.

    Uncommon writing advice

Reading your story out loud will help with your prose. Definitely try that. A small tip I would give is watching out for the adverb "very" in your sentences. In almost every situation that you may use "very" you can almost always replace it and the word it was modifying with a more specific and...

Do you guys feel intimated by the sheer amount of work you must put in your novel?

Having recently surpassed 1.5 million words... Yes. I am often quite intimidated by how much work and effort it has taken to write that much, and how much there is left to do. The whole thing is incredibly daunting. Still fun though.

    What motivates you to write?

Set a goal. 1000 words every day. Hit that goal. No matter what. Some days it is a struggle... Some days it's like pulling teeth. Still, you have to do it. And the more you do it, the easier it gets. Set a goal and stick to it. You can do it.

Dark fantasy or isekai power fantasy (LiRPG): which do you prefer?

I prefer a happy ending to a story, especially if it is novel length. So between the two, I'll take the power fantasy. Not that I don't enjoy the occasional dark fantasy; however, the hopeless endings leave me feeling depressed so I can't take too many of those too often.

What gadgets do you usually use to write novels?

While I always carry around a notebook to write down any ideas that come up, I sit down on my PC to write. I find that I get more done if I can block out the rest of the world to focus, which is easier to do in my room than somewhere out in public on my laptop.

    I Hate Novel Extra Villains

From a quick search online. "The "Novel's Extra" trope refers to a story where the main character is a character from a novel, often a side character or extra, who is now living in the world of that novel. This character often has knowledge of the original plot, which they can use to their...

So this is what it feels like.

As per your wishes, I won't try to convince you to start writing again. But I do hope that you find something that you are equally, if not more, passionate about. And I hope that you find immense success.

Why did you create your stories? And what motivates you to continue?

I write the story that I wanted to read. Since it didn't exist, I had to do it myself.

How you continue after first phase as author?

Set deadlines and commit to them. Force yourself to meet them consistently. If you want to publish, you have to treat it as you would a job. Write every day. Even on the days when you don't feel like it. Even if it's only a little. Write. Write. Write. Don't second-guess your story. You may...

    What you hate?

I dislike it when characters, especially the main character, give long exposition speeches to characters they just met. Usually it's something about their tragic backstory or the like. Whenever I start a new story and that happens in the first few chapters, I usually end up dropping it.

Looking for Artist Commissioning Cover Art

I do like a semi realistic style. The cowboy art up above is actually a good example of the general style I am looking for. I'm not looking for a Disney cartoon or anything like that.

Looking for Artist Commissioning Cover Art

Ah, I'm sorry squidzen, I meant a western style of art, not the genre. As in, not anime. You are a great artist though!

Looking for Artist Commissioning Cover Art

Your art is excellent, I have to say. I will keep you in mind if I can't find someone who does western art, but I'm still going to hold out for now.
