What would you do if your story became insanely popular?

If my story suddenly blew up --> millions of readers, endless comments, fan art everywhere, people talking about it nonstop.

1. HA! Doubted.
2. Look up what the hell I did by reading comments, and asking you all here on forums if this was a world wide joke, -because I'm sure I am.
3. Listen to music, write, and upload next chapter, just to watch what happens
4. Sigh and ignore it
5. Write a notarized legal document - NOT a single fictional hair of the characters, plot, or ip should ever end up, or ever will be, in the hands of Netflix, or Disney. -and anyone looking to change that will be sued into oblivion for every reason under the sun. :blobrofl:
6. If I die before the completion of the story, it will be completed in collaboration by: @Corty , @Racosharko , @Nevafrost , @Assurbanipal_II , and @pangmida --> who will have to work together, butting heads, and styles, suffering the cost of popularity and scrutiny to finish the apparently well-beloved story, and feel the pressure of understanding my obviously flawed characters. MWUHAHAHA!!!
But in the end- assumingly at least, there'd be a huge paycheck waiting for them from merchandising, anime/ movie deals, and a hopefully a really cool visual manga. -and a plenty of spicy doujinshi.

I love how there are so many veiled shots at George RR Martin here...

Too bad he is a demon and gets stronger the more hate he receives for not finishing his books.

Well, if this were the '90s, I'd reference Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman on when they'd retake their Dragonlance series back from all the bootlegs crossing over their material with Forgotten Realms that were getting published, but I didn't think many would've known their names today. I was a kid, waiting for the canonical stuff to reappear, but had to settle with other authors writing their own visions that eventually became... irrelevant? Yeah, so, the current popstars got knocked on here in this thread instead.

@pangmida will be my mentor and we will draw all the characters pregnant.

First, that would clue me in that I'm dreaming. At that point I'd either wake up, or fly away on my rainbow farting rhinocehorse in search of more realistic dreams.

Ai-chan would just design a card game and sell it as a book companion. Not many people get rich from writing books, but a lot of people got rich from selling book tie ins and toys.

Good business ideas.

I'd laugh because then I would finally have proof I'm insane, since I'm still eternally writing my stuff before even thinking about publishing it here. If I'm drunk enough to release my meager writing here AND it would then explode, I'd milk it for all it's worth. :ROFLMAO:
