Elite Dangerous.
I don't need to be the "main character" to become a pilot, and it is fairly easy to become one in that world.

There’s a certain appeal to Pokemon. It’s fairly modern, as even in the first game I played there was a game console at your tv. It’s surprisingly safe, assuming you have a Pokemon, as it is literally commonplace for ten year olds to go on unchaperoned pilgrimages funded by their own pocket money. If the plot for this region is finished, the big issue with a random legendary being exploited by a criminal gang has been addressed by a wandering child already.

You are not the main character.

You have no User Interface/system. However, for things like Fallout where pip boys are real, there is a U.I. in that sense. But if it's Dragon quest there will be no U.I. in that sense.

You have no cheats.

You are the same as a regular lore-adhering citizen of this game world of average "stats", and average social-economic level.

You are aware that it is a game made real.

You have no future knowledge since the Game storyline is over.

You will arrive near a "safe" place.

You can choose with a friend/family to go together.

Choose a game franchise to spawn in.
Helldivers looks fun.

Mass Effect because either a Renegade Shep or the Reapers will end my suffering pretty quickly. Just gotta hope the death is less husk spike and more of a blaster shot to the skull.

No, fuck that 'democracy' bs. I'm more on the 'dying heroically' side. Or even just dying quick.

The homicidal whale that will likely kill you.

You are also likely to be drafted and well, we know what happens from there.

Fight Whale—> Whale Wins—> Likely become Fiend—> Get killed by main character.

You said the story is done. Which means I got from the end of X to the beginning of the x-2-post-audio-drama. so, what, 5-6 years? At which point, I'll have learned to fight, so I could join a summoner's party as a guardian.

Isn’t there Vegnagun or something which is worse than Sin? :blob_hmm:

Been a while since I played that one.

meh, the world is always in danger. wouldn't be fun if it wasn't. But that's beside the point. If I'm just a normal no-name, then i likely wouldn't know the danger, so I could go about my life as usual.

You sure? Since in times of critical crisis, drafts are more likely to be implemented. :blob_popcorn:

Summoner guardians are exempted unless the summoners themselves are drafted. but since the summoners have never been shown to be drafted as far as I'm aware due to their already sacred duty...

If I remember right, weren’t summoners drafted originally to fight sin? Hence why Shuyin tries to use that giant machine to save Lenne?

In the future, many become summoners to try and follow what Yunalesca did. However, this is more likely a requirement every 10 years.

And a Guardian, given by the role. One of them becomes the Final Aeon.

So before the events a Guardian, you probably don’t want to be the Side Character that ends up as the next Sin.

In the second, when the weapon attacks. You’ll be bodied by an even worse one. :meowsip:
